Effect of Annealing Time on Structural and Magnetic Properties of Fe68Pd32 Nanoparticles Synthesized by Sonoelectrodeposition

Fe68Pd32 nanoparticles were prepared by sonoelectrodeposition with subsequent annealing at 600 oC for a series of times from 1 h to 6 h. The transformed disordered face-centered cubic (fcc) phase in the as-prepared samples into multi-phase material containing an ordered L10 FePd, fcc FePd and body-centered (bcc) Fe phases. After 600°C hard magnetic L10-FePd soft fcc-FePd coexist. structural properties studied dependence time. decrease coercivity increasing time 4 is suggested occur formation multi-L10 domain particles, while increase proposed due multiphase nature samples.
